Fender Custom Shop 1959 P-Bass Closet Classic 2-Tone Sunburst
The Closet Classic P-Bass emulates a guitar that has been stored in a closet, untouched over the years. It is yellowed a bit from age, and the finish has lightly checked with the small cracks that finishes develop over time, but otherwise it is in mint condition.Meticulously built to replicate the original at Fender's Custom Shop by a small team of expert craftsmen, it reflects the Precision Bass as it was in 1959. It has the rosewood fretboard (this was the first year rosewood was used on the P-Bass instead of the one-piece maple neck). It also features an alder body, a C"-shaped maple neck, vintage split single-coil pickups and a gold anodized pickguard. Accompanied by a Tweed case, strap, cable and polishing cloth.
